Nick Jenkins BSc MSc (Medical Physics)

 

After university I worked for Nuclear Enterprises for 17 years, firstly designing proportional counters and ionisation chambers for radiation protection then becoming responsible for the development of all new radiotherapy dosimetry equipment.

In 1991 I became a radiotherapy physicist, working first at Pembury with Cobalt units and then at KOC where I am responsible for dosimetry, linac commissioning and quality control.

For 5 years I was Secretary of the IEC Working Group which writes standards for medical dosemeters. Currently I am a BSI Committee Member and Coordinator of IPEM Inter-departmental Audit Group G.
