Mary Oatey

 

Mary Oatey trained for 5 years at the Royal Free Hospital in London, while studying for an MSc in Radiation Physics at Queen Mary College. She then spent 11 years at Mount Vernon Hospital where she was responsible for quality assurance and dosimetry of Elekta and Varian linear accelerators. In April 2005 she moved to Kent Oncology Centre as Lead Physicist for Imaging and Developments, where she is responsible for a Siemens and Toshiba CT Simulator, portal imaging with amorphous silicon detectors and the VISIR record and verify system. She has considerable experience commissioning linear accelerators including four in Lebanon.
