Graham Chalmers – Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. UHB NHS Foundation Trust

Graham is responsible for Quality Control and Dosimetry as well as specification, selection, acceptance, commissioning, and equipment maintenance. The department has 6 accelerators, 2 simulators, 1 orthovoltage unit, and a CT-simulator. Next year sees commissioning of a further 3 accelerators, 2 with 120 leaf MLCs and aSi EPIDS. The department performs Stereotactic radiosurgery and total body irradiation, and is working towards SRT and IMRT. Prostate brachytherapy will commence next year. The department has research interests in radiation detectors, radiobiology, monte carlo modelling and BNCT.
