Ailsa has been a Medical Physicist for 17 years. For the last 11 years, she has specialised in the black art of brachytherapy, during which she has overseen the development of a high dose rate brachytherapy service in Coventry. She has been an active member of the Midlands Interdepartmental Radiotherapy Physics Audit Group for many years, and has helped to develop a range of brachytherapy audit techniques. Ailsa has recently become the Midlands group's representative on the IPEM Interdepartmental Audit Working Party. Her main research interests are brachytherapy dosimetry and treatment planning algorithms.
